Kidnapped Baby Reunites with Family, 23 Years Later!
Carlina White, the baby kidnapped from a NY City hospital 23 years ago, has reunited with her biological family. The story of how she solved her own missing person cold case.
23 years ago, Carlina White’s mother brought her to the hospital when she was a baby because she was sick… the baby was kidnapped by a woman posing as a nurse.
As she got older, Carlina White, raised with the name Nejdra Nance, started to question things about her life. She found no physical resemblance to her family and became suspicious.
“Nejdra Nance was very suspicious of who she was and what family raised her,” Lt. Christopher Zimmerman of the New York Police Department said. “There was no paperwork to follow her such as a birth certificate or social security card. In her late teens she became suspicious of who she was.”
Carlina White started piecing things together by going online and looking at missing children sites, finding a photo of baby Carlina and a composite of what the child would look like at 19.
Police are now searching for the woman who kidnapped Carlina White.
