Kristen Johnston to Join ABC's Ugly Betty,

Stage and television star Kristen Johnston will join the cast of ABC's Ugly Betty this season in the recurring role of Helen, a temp at Mode magazine, according to an exclusive report in EW.com.

Johnston's many stage credits include The Women, Aunt Dan & Lemon, The Understudy, and Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words. She is scheduled to star in the Mint Theatre's production of So Help Me God! in 2010. Johnson is best known for her Emmy Award-winning work in the sitcom Third Rock from the Sun.

Ugly Betty, which is scheduled to return to the air on October 9, stars America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie, Becki Newton, Ana Ortiz, Tony Plana, Mark Indelicato, and Judith Light.
